I have a few snaps from my recent visit to Isle of Wight.
Here's the first batch, of the botanic gardens.
How does your garden grow?
I'm on a voyage of discovery in my first garden.
It's mostly about the veggies at the moment but I'm also discovering lots about flowers and other plants - quite often the hard way and always on a very tight budget.
But this blog is not just about my garden, it's about all the things I see and discover in Sussex and beyond and I would love to hear from you too.

Garden visit: Ventnor Botanic Gardens
Wednesday, 4 September 2013
Bye bye Sussex
After three years of gardening bliss, we are leaving our Sussex house and garden for a flat the New Forest.
I plan to apply for an allotment but, in the meantime, I'll be hanging up my gloves and trowel.
The move and lack of garden means I will no longer be Tweeting or blogging as Sussex Gardens.
I do plan to reinvent myself and will tweet as @SouthCoastWalks.
A new blog is also planned so watch this space.
I will still continue to visit gardens and will post pictures on here from time to time.
Thank you for your interest in Sussex Gardens and please visit soon for more updates.

Gardens visit: Sheffield Park
We visited Sheffield Park, near Uckfield, today and, for once, I took my camera.
We endured a bit of rain but the sun came out eventually.
Anyway, here are some photos that, for once, are not taken on my phone...

Garden visit: High Beeches
High Beeches Gardens, near Handcross, West Sussex, are looking amazing at the moment. This is definitely the best time to see them.
